The 1860 army steel model features a steel case hardened frame, shoulder stock frame cuts and screws, round barrel, fixed front blade sight, ratchet style loading lever, rebated cylinder with a roll engraved navy battle scene, steel backstrap and brass triggerguard, and an Army sized walnut grip. In its shortened configuration, reportedly a favorite or Orrin Porter Rockwell, a local legend who rode the trail past the front door of the shop many times.
